Volunteers at the Molly Brown House Museum lead tours through Molly’s 14-room Victorian home, create tasty treats for teas and visit schools and civic organizations to share Molly’s story. Volunteering is a great way to meet people who share your interest in history. Museum volunteers enjoy special programs at the Museum, hear guest lecturers, and take excursions to historic sites throughout Colorado.

Register now to attend our next volunteer training open house at the Molly Brown House Museum that includes a museum tour and an informal gathering on the third floor of the Museum where prospective volunteers can meet current volunteers and learn about opportunities and benefits.
Molly Brown House Museum volunteers are interested in history and enjoy working with a diverse range of people. People who can spare just two mornings or afternoons a month, enjoy cooking and baking, are looking for new ways to meet people and love history are perfect candidates. Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet others who share interests and to spend time in one of Denver’s most prestigious and authentic Victorian homes. Volunteers receive complete training, free parking and many other benefits.

Volunteer docents lead groups through Margaret Brown’s Victorian home and tell about the life of this remarkable woman and her times. The museum’s staff provides on-site training with topics including the life of Margaret Brown, restoration techniques, the Victorian era, group management skills, and public speaking. Docents should enjoy learning and teaching about history and like working with people of all ages. The museum asks for a 6- to 8-hour commitment per month. Docents must be 16 or older.
Victorian Eating Experience
Victorian Eating Experience Volunteers create and serve authentic Victorian dining experiences for guests, including teas, luncheons and dinners. Victorian Eating Experience volunteers should enjoy cooking, Victorian etiquette and working with people of all ages.
During the summer months of June, July and August, youths between the ages of 10 and 16 to assist docents in leading tours through the Museum. Pages should have an interest in history and enjoy working with people of all ages.
